What has happened to Roach in Snowpiercer Season 4? (Is Roach dead?)

There are a few characters we have come to adore in Snowpiercer. One of them is Roach.

At the start, Roach was a man simply doing the job that he was given. That didn’t mean he followed orders blindly, though. He could see the good in people, and he eventually turned into an ally for Layton. After the death of his wife, he turned in on himself, but he found his way back.

Now he’s been a voice of reason and support in New Eden. He continues to have the love of the people who chose to go there, and he continues to do what’s needed to protect the town. However, it looks like it’s at the detriment of himself.

The last we saw of Roach, he was up in the mountains with Oz looking for clues as to what the Animal Squad is after. In the middle of the storm, Roach just went missing, and there has been no sign of him since.

Snowpiercer can’t kill Roach off-screen

I’m putting it out there. Roach is not dead. There is not a chance in hell that the series would kill him off without us seeing it happen.

There has been no trace of him. If he died on the mountain, there would be a frozen body. Oz and others would have found it when they went back up there after the storm passed. So, it would suggest that he has been taken by someone.

Oz could hear voices. He has always thought the voices were Lilah, but it’s likely voices over a radio. What are the chances that one of the Animal Squad members was out there and took Roach? Or what if Roach found a radio and a suit and took it?

Could Roach save Layton and Josie?

Right now, Layton, Josie, and Liana are trapped in an abandoned Snowpiercer cart. We know that someone in a suit is going to turn up to save them. As much as we would love for it to turn out that Ben isn’t dead, it seems more likely that it’s someone like Roach coming to the rescue.

What if he found a snowcat? After all, that has to be the way the Animal Squad is getting around outside. How else would Wolf have taken Dr. Headwood and Liana at the start of the season? Maybe he picked up the radio and there is some sort of distress call put out.

We know Roach is getting more to do this season and having him be the hero of one part of the story makes the most sense to do that. Let’s give Roach something great to do! He can’t be dead in Snowpiercer Season 4. At least, not yet!
