The Chicago PD Season 11 finale picked up off the back of the penultimate episode. Voight had been taken, and it was a race against time for Intelligence to find him. Would they find him in time?

We knew how the episode was going to play out. Intelligence would do everything they could to find Voight. Of course, Upton was going to be the one he loved. However, Voight refused to make the call. He wasn’t going to give the serial killer what he wanted.

In fact, Voight wasn’t afraid to die. When he was stabbed a second time to slowly bleed out, he made sure the knife went deeper and made a bloodier cut. This led to him hallucinating people, including Al, which was a wonderful surprise!

Did the team save Voight in the Chicago PD Season 11 finale?

Upton ended up being the second “victim.” However, she ended up not really being a victim. She and Voight knew the plan, so it wasn’t surprising that she managed to find a way to outsmart the killer.

She got Voight untied from his chair, just as the killer rushed into the room. Voight ended up killing the serial killer in a way that The Mountain would likely be proud of. It wasn’t over, though. Voight was bleeding out quickly, and Upton had no idea where they were to get help. She had to rely on Jo and the team to get their location.

Did we really think Intelligence wouldn’t figure it out? This is what they do. Would it be in time, though?

What happened to Voight in the Chicago PD Season 11 finale?

Yes, the team got there, but it took time. Enough time for the sun to set. It was in time, though.

The team managed to get Voight to the hospital, and the end of the episode was focused on him and Upton. He needed to know if he was bad for Upton. With all the flashbacks to how Upton seemed to be becoming so much like him.

This all fed into Upton’s exit, which sees her going off to new pastures as she deserves “more.”
