What is it with people keeping secrets? That’s what happened in Snowpiercer Season 4. Alex Cavill is doing her own research, and she’s keeping her nosebleeds quiet.

It’s clear that the nosebleed she suffered from in the premiere is not the first she’s had while being in New Eden. She quickly grabbed a towel and then wiped up the blood from her desk. There wasn’t even an ounce of worry on her face, as if this is something she’s dealt with before.

Alex is worried about some data in Snowpiercer Season 4

Alex’s research has been private. The only person who has been somewhat involved is Boki, as Alex asked him to release her bird out into the wild to collect some data.

Alex has opened up to Layton about what she is seeing. There are earthquakes and shifts in the weather pattern. She wants to know if these are all bigger problems to be worried about, or whether they are just smaller problems that can be ignored for now. Maybe the Earth is just shifting back to normal, or maybe there is something on the horizon that makes all the work at New Eden worthless.

There’s no doubt that Alex’s nosebleeds are concerning though. This could be linked to altitude. Anyone who has changed their altitude knows that there are initial issues in the body. However, we’re looking at nine months later, and nobody else seems to be suffering, so that doesn’t make sense.

Another theory is pressure. This can lead to nosebleeds, and it can affect some more than others.

Of course, there’s the possibility that Alex is ill and that she’s hiding it from everyone else. With so much else going on around her, she probably doesn’t want to worry anyone. That’s going to be even worse now that Layton is focused on getting Liana back as he grieves the loss of Zarah.

This is sure to come up as the season continues. For now, she’s a character to keep an eye on. After all, Zarah is not going to be the only casualty of the final season of Snowpiercer.
