Season 7 of FBI will be the final time that viewers will see Tiffany Wallace, played by Katherine Renee Kane. So far, we know that we will see Tiffany in at least one episode in the upcoming season. That will at least give the character an actual goodbye instead of just being written off.
Of course, there are several possibilities for the way that Tiffany could exit. After she shot Hakim during the sixth season finale, questions were swirling about whether she was justified in shooting him. At first, Maggie didn't see a gun. Finally, OA located one in Hakim's pocket.
Chasing the man who killed Hobbs took an emotional toll on Tiffany. While she was able to tell Hobbs' widow that they got Hakim, it no doubt took a toll on Tiffany. Due to the situation, it seems likely that Tiffany will either choose to leave the job, or she would be taken off duty. In the synopsis for the Season 7 FBI premiere, it mentions that Tiffany "is struggling."
It is too soon to say goodbye to FBI's Tiffany Wallace
It certainly sounds like actress Katherine Renee Kane didn't choose to leave. Deadline reported that she issued a statement about her departure in August 2024. It sounds like the show felt that her character may have run it's course.
"“It was time to look towards new creative endeavors. I’m excited for the future and wish the show all the best.” "
However, I strongly disagree. I think that seeing Tiffany living with the aftermath of shooting Hakim, and whether or not it was truly justified, would be powerful storytelling. Perhaps she could be taken out of the field for a bit, and then return to work alongside her FBI family. How would her fellow team members handle it? Plus, I feel that not exploring this issue shortchanges the viewers. Even if Tiffany only appeared in half of Season 7, fans deserve to follow her entire story to its natural conclusion.
