Will Found remain a fall show on NBC in 2024?

Found Season 1 has officially come to an end, and we're excited to see the second season. Will we only need to wait until the fall?

What an ending to the Found Season 1 finale. Of course, we need more and we need it right now. Don’t worry; no spoilers here! We’re just looking ahead at when we’ll get more of the show.

The series is renewed. NBC announced that both fall freshman dramas, this and The Irrational, were renewed for second seasons. Now all eyes are on when the shows will be back. Will Found remain as a fall show?

It is hard to definitively say. This show wasn’t initially planned to be a fall show. It was supposed to air in the 2023 midseason, but NBC saw the writing on the wall for the strike action. It was pulled from the midseason and pushed to the fall to make sure NBC has some new content to air. This arguably helped the live ratings, but is it enough to bring the show back in the fall when the regular schedule returns?

Fall 2024 could include Found

The NBC schedule is going to look a lot like normal in fall 2024. This means we’ll get the usual supsects like the One Chicago shows and Law & Order. What about Found?

We could end up seeing the series, but maybe not on Tuesday nights. NBC is still likely to bring some new shows, and we know Tuesdays are a popular night to run those shows. Mondays are also popular. On Mondays, the episodes follow The Voice, while Tuesdays is a night of The Voice followed by two hours of drama.

With La Brea ending this season, the 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot on Tuesdays is open. This allows for Found to potentially move an hour earlier and run a new show off the back of it. It does have some darker content matter, though, so keeping it in the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot may work out better.

Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 was originally planned to be a midseason show this year. Found was going to air on Thursdays after the other two Law & Order shows. The same could happen this year, with Found taking that Thursday night slot to boost the ratings there.

The ratings were good, so it would suggest that NBC will want to keep the show in the fall. Now we just need to see when, but we won’t know that until May 2024.
