Zach Gilford shares Voit's main goal in Criminal Minds: Evolution
We all knew that Elias Voit was up to something when he managed to secure a transfer to Virginia in Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2. The BAU quickly figured things out during the second episode, and now Zach Gilford has confirmed what Voit’s main focus is.
According to TVLine, Voit wants to see his family. We learn in the second episode that since the secrets came out, Voit’s family has turned their back on Voit completely. Sydney refuses to even open the letters from her husband.
So, all Voit wants is a chance to see his family again. JJ and Luke have tried to use that against Voit to get him to admit to the bodies found in the shipping container. They need that to keep him locked up in federal prison for good. After all, he wouldn’t be immune from prosecution on that due to not admitting to it to get it included in his immunity clause.
Will Voit see his family in Criminal Minds: Evolution?
Voit constantly appears to be a step or two ahead of the BAU. Even though the team has figured out what he wants, he still isn’t playing into their hands. In fact, the second episode saw Voit whisper something about Prentiss into Luke’s ear, which led to Luke flying off the handles.
Will Voit end up getting the BAU to give him what he wants? He wants to see his family, but they’re not exactly just going to walk into the prison willingly. The BAU won’t want to put them in danger, but Sydney has also mead it clear by returning Voit’s letters that she wants nothing to do with him.
TVLine makes it clear that we may see Sydney again. And yes, we may see her meet with her husband once more. Voit will use everything he can to get his family to visit him, and that means the BAU may not have a choice.
