Em may have saved Dana in Revival season 1, episode 7, but it seems to put her own life on the line. Can Revivers die?

Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Revival season 1, episode 7.

There is still a lot going on in the world of Revival, but the storylines start to converge throughout the latest episode. We get confirmation that there is something in the water, Em gains a revelation about her death, and Dana realizes that there are a few puzzle pieces that link.

We even get to find out who the burned man is, and it does connect back to Dana. This is a relief but also somewhat heartbreaking for all involved.

Could Em die in Revival season 1, episode 7?

After healing Dana, it turns out that Em may be on the brink of death. Ramin takes Em to safety, while Dana head back home to figure out what’s going on. The problem is people are now after Em.

The security footage shows that Em is a Reviver, and it doesn’t take long for the mayor decide to get payback on Wayne for what Wayne did to his wife. The mayor shares all with the colonel who comes in to clean up the town, seeing that Revivers are the problem, and that means there’s an X on Em’s back.

Ramin needs to figure out how to save Em’s life, though. He is sure that there’s something in the water from the creek, so he decides to give her a drink of it to see if it helps. It sure does, temporarily. Ramin knows that he needs to get Em to the creek so she can submerge herself into it.

While in there, Em gets a flash of her murder. This was where she died, and it’s clear there was something much bigger to her death.

However, Ramin is attacked by the burned man while Em is in the creek. Don’t worry; he’s going to be okay. Em will be to, and she’s taken to a campsite.

Dana and Wayne finally work together

After being threatened with being locked up for keeping information about his daughter being a Reviver from everyone, Wayne decides it’s time to turn against the authorities. He had no idea about Em, and he makes it clear that his daughters hate him. Well, they don’t quite hate him, but they do have a difficult relationship with him.

It’s enough to get Wayne to Dana, with the colonel hoping that Wayne will get information from Dana. The two decide to team up, though, as they need to figure out who killed Em and why. This is all news to Wayne, but he takes it like a champ, and they stage a fight that gives Dana time to find out more information.

Of course, she goes to the coroner to find out more about the man who was revived while in the kiln, and then she goes to Mai Tao. It’s clear that Mai knows something, and she needs to finally listen to her.

Yes, it all seems connected to the Blackdeer case, and we finally get to know what that case was. At least, we know enough to understand why Dana is viewed as a failure for that. She let Jesse Blackdeer go, knowing that he didn’t do whatever he was accused of.

Well, it turns out that Jesse is the burned man. He returned to town for his Rose, but she had been killed when he got there. Then someone killed him, but he was in the window to be revived. Now he’s living with his uncle on tribal land, and the uncle is not happy that tribal land is gaining all this attention and drama.

Dana isn’t allowed to know exactly where the campsite is just yet, but it won’t be hard for her to figure it out. Em is there as well, and since she’s a Reviver, she’s also allowed to stick around. The only one who doesn’t get to know is Ramin, although I’m sure he will be able to prove that he can be trusted as he just wants to help.

Blaine continues to rally the followers in Revival

While all this is going on, Blaine continues to rally his followers. He has his own radio show, and he is calling out to people to get rid of the dead.

He’s a dangerous man with a cult following, and now he’s managed to get people into the prison where all of the Revivers are being detained (despite doing nothing wrong). Considering there are so many experiments happening on the Revivers, Blaine is sure to gain some more ammunition to turn the town against Revivers.

Revival airs on Thursdays at 10/9c on Syfy.
