How will Athena land the plane in season 8, episode 3 of 911? (Preview)
911 has been truly taking off with the three-part opener that started with bees and then ended in Athena possibly having to land a plane before it crashes. With episode three set to focus on attempts to land the plane, what can we expect from the episode itself?
When episode 2 ended, the 118 had helped passengers from down below over the phone as they attempted to help those with injuries. Athena got help from a young boy named Jem, who knew enough about planes to help her out. But despite his help, Athena still needed help from a certified pilot.
Unfortunately, despite the co-pilot finally coming to after passing out due to injury from the original collision, he suffered a heart attack at the end of the episode. So where does that leave Athena?
Help is coming from the ground, as the 118 was sent to LAX in order to be there to help come to the aid of passengers once the flight landed. Buck had been trying to get a hold of Bobby, but was not able to get through. He made it to Bobby’s work just as the former was learning about the plane incident and having listened to a voicemail from Athena.
Will Athena land the plane in 911 season 8, episode 3?
In the promo for the third episode, Bobby and Buck are attempting to get through traffic on the 110, but are unable to get through. Instead, when Athena asks if anyone has a place to land the plane, it looks like Bobby has used the highway as a makeshift runway. Does this mean the plane is low on fuel and cannot make it to LAX?
If it does turn out that Bobby and Buck are the plane’s only hope, then the rest of the 118 and the other fire crews will need to arrive quickly. There’s only so much the two men can do with only Brad the actor and a fake fire engine used for a television show.
The promo also had an incredible moment of Athena telling Bobby that she loved him. His only response was for her to “tell [him] in person.” Excuse us while we swoon!
"Athena's only chance of surviving and saving everyone on the flight is to attempt to land the plane before it crashes and call on the 118 for help."
