In a move that everyone expected, Boone is staying in Edgewater on Sheriff Country. Now we’re ready to see how Boone and Mickey will continue to work together, but there is some bad news.
Sheriff Country won’t air a new episode tonight, Friday, Nov. 28, and this isn’t all that surprising. After all, it’s the holiday weekend, and a lot of people travel for Thanksgiving. They want to spend te with their families, and that means they’re not gathering around the TV to watch new episodes of top shows.
Rather than run the risk of a ratings dip, CBS is putting the majority of its shows this week on hold. There is some good news, though.
Sheriff Country will return with new episodes soon
Rather than a rerun tonight, there will be a special for the whole family CBS will air A PAW Patrol Christmas, and you know that you need to check it out with your younger kids. Honestly, I think this is going to be something even for the slightly older kids that fell in love with PAW Patrol back in the day.
If you want to check out an episode of the Fire Country spinoff tonight, then you’ll need to turn to Paramount+. You’ll also need to turn there for reruns of Fire Country and Boston Blue, as CBS has changed the schedule a little with a rerun of the Everybody Loves Raymond reunion special and Ghosts instead of the original plan to air back-to-back Fire Country reruns.
In some good news, we’ve not watched the last episode of Sheriff Country in 2025. There are still more episodes to come, as CBS has opted for later fall dates compared to NBC and ABC.
The show will return on Friday, Dec. 5 at the usual time of 8/7c. There is at least one more episode after that, and that’s likely to be the fall finale.
What to expect when Sheriff Country returns
Sheriff Country season 1 episode 7 is titled “Glory Days,” and it will see Mickey head back to high school. There’s a brutal assault at the school, and Mickey and her deputies will do whatever it takes to get to the bottom of it. As you would expect in a small-town high school, there is a web of deceit and lies that have led to the assault.
We’ll get to see Mickey and Travis share more screentime together, and it feels like the show is trying to put them back together. Can that work? I’m still up for Dalton (or whatever his real name is) to come back, because he clearly cared about Mickey to reveal his cover to protect Skye.
Sheriff Country airs on Fridays at 8/7c on CBS.
