There’s a fair bit of change in Hondo’s team, and everyone is getting used to each other. They’ll need to get used to each other quickly as they deal with a violent gang in SWAT season 8, episode 2.
You didn’t mis-hear things in the previous episode. Tan has moved up to 22-David. Yes, he has taken Luca’s callsign, which isn’t that surprising. And to be honest, I’d rather see Tan get that callsign rather than a new team member.
This happens with the change in the team. It’s clear there is more to come with the team, but it’s not clear if any of that will come up in the new episode. There isn’t much to work with for the preview of this episode.
A violent gang is on the loose in SWAT season 8, episode 2
This episode will see the team pulled into a case that started off outside of the city. Stash houses are facing brutal robberies, and those robberies are coming into the Los Angeles area. With that, it means that Hondo and his team are pulled into the investigation.
They will join the sheriff’s department to hunt down the perpetrators. This crew is doing more than just attacking those who may in the homes. If there are any witnesses at all, the violent gang will take them out. This makes it much harder for anyone to get to the bottom of the case.
It’s not clear if there will be focus on a particular character for a personal story. We’re still early days into the season, so it could be anyone at this point. I would love to get to know the newer team members a little better, though.
Check out the promo and synopsis for SWAT season 8, episode 2:
"When a spree of brutal stash house robberies spills into Los Angeles, the team joins with the sheriff's department's gang unit to unmask a violent crew who leaves no witness alive. "
