Parents don’t always get along. They don’t always agree about what’s right for their children. We’re about to see that in SWAT season 8, episode 7.

We know from Deacon that parents don’t always agree. He and Annie have had a few ups and downs over the last few seasons when it’s come to figuring out what’s right for their children. This is a normal part of life, as we all have different life experiences and upbringings.

It’s time for Hondo and Nichelle to face their first disagreement. Take a look at what it’s over.

A disagreement over daycare in SWAT season 8, episode 7

In some great news, we will get Nichelle back. Rochelle Aytes was demoted to recurring guest star this season for various reasons. While it’s meant that we’ve seen less of Hondo’s home life, it doesn’t mean we see none of it at all. We’re going into his home life in the new episode.

It’s time to get their daughter into daycare. This leads to a disagreement over daycare providers. I will say that as a parent this does seem a little offer. Surely daycare is something that they should have thought about ages ago! There are long waitlists for a lot of daycare providers, so unless they’re opting for some sort of private home daycare with plenty of space, they’d be lucky to get in so quickly.

Maybe that’s what the dispute is about, though. Maybe it’s because they have left it too late, and now they can’t find someone suitable.

As for Hondo, he will need to lead 20-Squad through a difficult case. There’s a potential honor killing happening. Two students are brutally attacked. This case is sure to ignite a few fears for Hondo, which could open up the discussions about daycare providers with Nichelle.

Take a look at the synopsis for SWAT season 8, episode 7:

"When two students are brutally attacked, 20-Squad contends with a possible honor killing. Meanwhile, Hondo and Nichelle have their first parenting dispute while searching for a suitable daycare."
