We’re more than ready to see Kelsey Grammer play a cult leader, but that’s going to have to wait. There isn’t a new episode of The Hunting Party on tonight, Thursday, Feb. 5.

This isn’t a bad thing about the series. We knew that this break was coming, as it’s connected to NBC airing the Winter Olympic Games.

Why isn’t The Hunting Party new tonight?

NBC is pulling all its regular scripted shows from the schedule starting tonight, Thursday, Feb. 5. Tonight will be about getting ready for the Winter Olympics, and then the next two weeks will be focused on coverage of the Games. This is something we were getting prepared for when the shows returned in January, as NBC has done this before.

So, it’s not just The Hunting Party that is taking a break. The two Law & Order shows are taking a break tonight, and then starting tomorrow, we’ll see the likes of Stumble, Brilliant Minds, and Chicago PD off the air.

When will The Hunting Party return on NBC?

The break is as long as the Winter Olympics. With them finishing on Sunday, Feb. 22 with the Closing Ceremony, the majority of shows will return that last week of February. This includes The Hunting Party, which is confirmed to return on Thursday, Feb. 26.

For those keeping track, it’s the same night as the Law & Order shows. NBC is working on keeping the schedule consistent.

In some exciting news, the first season of The Hunting Party will join Netflix on Sunday, Feb. 15. This gives us something to watch, while also helping to boost the ratings for the serial killer series. After all, we know it deserves the audience.

What to expect on The Hunting Party season 2 episode 5

The show returns with Grammer’s episode. He will play a cult leader, who seems to be gathering people to spread the word of their faith. He wants others to spread the word, but is this in a positive messaging way or with violence?

After all, Grammer’s character, Noah Cyrus, is described as a narcissistic psychopath. He needs people to give him praise and attention.

There is a personal storyline to focus on in the episode, though. At the end of episode 4, Bex learned that Shane gave Morales the audio knowing that his mom was a patient in the Pit. Right now, he doesn’t know that it’s Lazarus, and Bex is now the one holding onto a secret. How will Shane react when he learns the truth?

The Hunting Party returns on Thursday, Feb. 26.
