There are a lot of secrets between various members of the task force on The Hunting Party, but can some of them start to come out? Morales needs to share hers, as the team tracks down a female serial killer played by Dynasty’s Elizabeth Gillies.
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS from The Hunting Party season 2 episode 4
The new episode opens in 2017, where we get to see Amanda Weiss before she was caught. She apologizes to her client about how she had to cancel the last session, due to her sister being ill. As she says that her sister died, the client just asks for silence, and that seems to trigger things for Amanda. She snaps her client’s neck, and we soon learn that se was called “The Masseuse.”

Morales needs to let out her secret
Before getting the case, Bex decides to see Morales about what she’s found about Caitlin Taylor. Caitlin apparently took her own life back in the day, but Bex notices that Dr. Dulles is in one of the photos. It must mean that Lazarus was a patient in the pit.
This is when Morales shares her secret, and it’s clear that she had to let it out. She shares that Shane asked her to do an audio check, and she traced it back to Lazarus. Shane doesn’t know that yet, as AG Mallory ordered to keep it a secret, but now she’s torn.
Before they can get too into it, they find out about the case. However, it’s clear that this is sure to come up in the future. In fact, during the case, Bex asks Shane about the recording, and he lies about it at first. He eventually shares that he was looking for who his biological mom is, knowing that she was one of the inmates in the pit. Bex isn’t going to tell him all the details just yet, but it’s just more secrets!

Amanda’s treatment created a more dangerous foe on The Hunting Party
Just like with other serial killers, Amanda became a more dangerous foe after her treatments in the Pit. While she kills a man, it seems to be to get his car so that she can then abduct a woman. She even pretends to be a victim in the same cabin at first, although that goes wrong as Tiffany, the new victim, tries to escape.
Amanda is trying to recreate the relationship she had with her sister, Lucy. Amanda went on the straight and narrow to help Lucy, who was struggling with drug addiction. When Lucy died of a drug overdose, it triggered Amanda into killing. Now that she’s out, Tiffany is the spitting image of Lucy, and in NA, so Amanda chose her to be her sister.
Bex decides it’s time to talk to Dr. Celia Erickson, who was the psychologist called in to treat Amanda. It turns out that Celia pretended to be a patient called Alice in a cell next to Amanda. The two communicated by wall tapping, and when Amanda got free, she wanted to find Alice. She even went to the address given to her, which was where the man she killed lived.

This helps Bex and co. learn that Amanda has taken Tiffany to a remote location. Now they need to find out where, and there is only one way to do that. Bex pretends to be Alice, and while Amanda doesn’t initially believe it, Bex is able to pass a few tests. However, just Amanda is going to kill Tiffany and finds out that Tiffany has escaped, Bex has to reveal who she really is.
She shares that Alice is still in custody, never getting free when the explosion happened. Amanda agrees to turn herself in, hoping that she will be reunited with Alice. It’s hard not to feel for Amanda as she realizes that Alice was a completely made-up person.

Lazarus takes matters into her own hands to protect her identity
While Bex and Morales discuss Lazarus throughout the episode, Peck is keeping an eye on things. During The Hunting Party season 2 episode 2, we saw him allow Morales access to files that Odell never would have, because he’s not there to protect the Pit.
However, he is there to protect Lazarus, and he makes sure that she knows something is happening. At the end of the episode, as Shane opens up to Bex, we see Lazarus pay Dr. Dulles a visit. She takes matters into her own hands by killing him, and you just know that this is going to lead to his daughter showing up looking for answers.
How long will it be before all the secrets come out on The Hunting Party?
