The Irrational season 2, episode 5 isn’t going to air tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 5. We do know when the series will return, though.

All broadcast shows are taking the night off tonight, and it’s for one big and important reason. It’s all about Election Night, and all five networks have their own coverage.

If you’re not interested in watching the election coverage and are just waiting for the results, you’ll want to turn to Peacock. Previous episodes of The Irrational are there.

When will The Irrational return with new episodes?

The good news is there isn’t much of a wait for new episodes of the series. Alec will return to work a new case on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

This was told to us in the promo for The Irrational season 2, episode 5. The promo made it very clear that the show would take a week off, just like so many other promos for various shows.

What is The Irrational season 2, episode 5 about?

Alec will head to a college campus, and not for his own teaching. There are three mysterious deaths, and it looks like a suicide contagion at first. Alec realizes that there is far more to this, and it could be linked to the sorority. So, he needs to get Marisa on the case. Once she’s convinced, she’s in on this one.

Meanwhile, Phoebe needs to make a career choice. She had to do the right thing when it came to plagiarism, but what does she do next? Can she start working for Alec again? Will he take her back?

Check out the promo and synopsis for The Irrational season 2, episode 5:

"Simon's mother asks Alec to help stop a suicide contagion when a third student death strikes the campus; Alec asks Marisa to help when he thinks there might be more to the case; Phoebe struggles with her next career move."

The Irrational airs on Tuesdays at 10/9c on NBC. Catch up the following day on Peacock.
