Rose is safe. Things are back to normal in The Irrational season 2, episode 2. Of course, that doesn’t mean Alec won’t do some dangerous things.

In the premiere episode, we found out where Rose was and who took her. It took some time for Alec to find a way to save her, but he managed it with the help of the FBI. It’s great that he was able to turn to the FBI for help in the way that they turn to help. Marissa was there every step of the way.

A case of a serial killer in The Irrational season 2, episode 2

Now it’s time for business as usual. It’s the FBI turning to Alec for help in the new episode, and it involves a serial killer. This is likely the part in the trailer that involves three killings in three different states. What would make someone cross state lines, except purely to try to avoid detection? It certainly puts it into the FBI’s hands, though.

Alec needs to figure out what this killer’s motivation is. I would love to see Alec work with the BAU to solve some of these crimes. He’d be a great addition to the team when it comes to profiling. Although he also loves teaching this to others to help them grow in their careers.

The promo also gives us a look at a few of the storylines to come. At some point, Alec is going to stand on train tracks as a train barrels toward him. Kylie tells Alec that he needs to stop doing dangerous things, but we all know he won’t stop. In a world where there are few heroes, someone has to stand up to help!

Check out the promo and synopsis for The Irrational season 2, episode 2:

"The FBI needs Alec and his team to help stop a serial killer terrorizing the suburbs. As the bodies pile up, Alec helps the police uncover what's really driving this murderer to his choice of victims."

The Irrational season 2 airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on NBC. Catch up the following day on Peacock.
