In a surprising move, ABC is changing its schedule for The Rookie. While it is to make way for a new crime drama, it’s a lot earlier than it needs to be. The move happens tonight, Monday, Jan. 26, and you will not want to miss out.
After three episodes, The Rookie season 8 will move to Tuesdays. It also hints at another move that could be happening, although we’re doubtful that that will end up being the case.

What if you can’t watch it live? After all, Mondays have been a night for other shows or other things to do. The good news is that you can stream The Rookie on Hulu the following day. What to expect on The Rookie season 8 episode 4
The new episode teases another change, with Nolan asking Grey about what it would mean to move to another state. Bailey has a job offer in DC, and Nolan is considering what that would mean for him if they were to take that offer. However, it’s a problem for Nolan, as he would need to start from the very bottom again.
While out in the city, Nolan and Bailey witness a murder in public and immediately spring into action in the hopes of finding the person responsible. Meanwhile, Angela and Wesley have a big life decision that may affect their future.
Sure, he’s done it once before, but that was five years ago, and a lot has changed since then. With budget cuts, he’s not even guaranteed to get a job on the new force, so it would be safer for him and his career to stay in Los Angeles.
It’s possible that the events of the episode will encourage Nolan to stay. He and Bailey witness a murder, and they will need to do everything they can to take down the killer. This puts their lives on the line, but it will also remind them of all the good Nolan can do in Los Angeles. Is Bailey’s job offer worth risking all of that?
