Tracker isn't new tonight, but there is some excellent news for its return (May 18)

Tracker season 2 has come to an end, but there will be a third season.

Sundays are supposed to be all about the scripted drama, but that’s not the case tonight, Sunday, May 18. At least, not when it comes to new episodes of Tracker.

In some good news, there is a rerun of Tracker tonight, but you’ll want to tune in for that an hour later than normal. Of course, there are also all episodes on Paramount+, so you can catch up on every single twist and turn that has happened throughout the series so far.

Why isn’t Tracker new tonight?

The lack of new episode is thanks to the summer break. The previous episode, which left us with a lot of questions — although we seem to have gained some Colter family answers — was the Tracker season 2 finale. That’s why it was such a big episode for so many characters.

Now the series is on its summer break. At least we know that a third season is officially happening. CBS confirmed that back in February 2025, meaning that we could sit back and just enjoy the rest of the season.

When will Tracker season 3 premiere?

So, now it’s time to find out more about the return. What we do know right now is that Tracker season 3 will premiere in the fall. CBS announced the fall schedule earlier in May, and brought the reveal that it will remain on Sundays, straight after 60 Minutes after the NFL games of the afternoon. It will now lead into the new singing competition, The Road. Once the NFL is over for another season, Tracker will consistently air at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

We just don’t have an exact premiere date at this time. CBS used to bring shows back in September, but October was the preferred month for the 2024 –2025 TV season. That could be the case this time, so we may need to wait until early to mid-October 2025 for Tracker season 3.

At least it’s arriving in the fall. Watson fans will need to wait until the midseason, and that show is moving to the latest 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot.

Tracker is available to stream on Paramount+.
