Colter Shaw heads off in search for a missing father in Tracker season 2, episode 2. Of course, that means he goes missing.

We knew Jensen Ackles would return as Russell Shaw at some point. That wasn’t even needed to be said in a press release. We just knew based on the way his previous episode ended that he would need to come back, and he’s coming back for his little brother.

Reenie calls Russell in Tracker season 2, episode 2

Colter heads off in search for a missing father. It looks like the man thought that the government was after him, and so he went off the grid. This is going to be close to home for Colter, who has a family history of fathers thinking the government going after them.

Colter learned his survival instincts because of their dad. Now he uses them to help people, but it looks like he’s going to go off the grid.

When Reenie gets worried, she calls the one person she knows who can help. She needs Russell to get his butt to town, and for his little brother, he does. Get ready for a few more Supernatural throwbacks throughout this episode. I have a feeling there may be a few Smallville ones as well since the two eventually starred on that series, even though not at the same time.

This will hopefully help us dig deeper into the Shaw family mystery. Why did their mother tell Colter to stay away from Russell? What secret is Russell hiding? Will they end up working together to get to the bottom of what really happened to their dad all those years ago?
