It’s been some time since Tracker season 3 brought us the Keaton/Colter cliffhanger. The fall finale aired on Sunday, Dec. 15, and we’re used to shows coming back in early January to resolve the questions. That’s not happening with Tracker season 3, though, with no new episode tonight, Sunday, Jan. 4.
This is where we get a bit of bad news as well, as we have a long wait in store to find out how that cliffhanger ends. Will Keaton survive? How many of Tacoma PD are on the bad guy’s payroll? What will happen to Colter as he tries to get his friend to the hospital? Oh, the questions!

Tracker season 3 won’t return in January 2026
Like all the other CBS shows, we won’t get new episodes of Tracker season 3 in January 2026. Now, it’s not all that surprising that Tracker isn’t returning in the first month of the year. It’s a Sunday show, and Sundays are taken over by major NFL games and award shows. If CBS does bring the shows back, it’s usually for a week or two and then there’s another break.
In previous years, we have seen CBS hold off the Sunday shows until after the Super Bowl. Yes, that is happening here, but the wait is still a little longer. After the Super Bowl comes the Winter Olympics in 2026, and that goes on until almost the end of February.
It does mean that we’re not going to see Tracker season 3 until March. It’s on March 1, so not that far into the month, but still. It’s a long wait. Tracker season 3 episode 10 will air on March 1 at 9/8c on CBS. Note the time change as Y: Marshals gets the first slot of the night.

What to expect on Tracker season 3 episode 10
While CBS hasn’t revealed a lot about the new episode, we know that there are some major questions to answer. Keaton was injured in the fall finale, and Colter had to try his best to get him to the hospital in time. We don’t know if that will happen, because these injuries always happen in the middle of nowhere, but Colter isn’t going to just let his friend die.
Of course, Colter is shot at through the windshield of his car, sending it off the road. Now, we don’t think that the show would even consider killing Colter off, but things aren’t looking good for Keaton.
Reenie is worried, though. She learned that Dobbs — the man that they were looking for at Keaton’s request — was on Menassian’s payroll in the past. Now it’s clear that there are likely to be other Tacoma PD cops on the payroll as well, and this puts Colter and Keaton at even more risk.
Tracker season 3 returns on Sunday, March 1 at 9/8c on CBS.
