Unforgotten season 6, episode 3 continues Leanne and Sunny's flirty relationship, and they meet in a pub and have drinks. They have a great time, then when they leave, Leanne kisses Sunny. He calls her the next day, and when she sees it’s him on the caller ID, she sends him to voicemail.
Jess goes to see her sister, Debbie. Jess says she wants to move forward and asks if Steve lied about sleeping with her. Debbie says they did sleep together—more than once.
The team tells Juliet they are focusing on the disgruntled employee who attacked him in the car park as the murder suspect, not Markaj. Jess asks her if Gerry was having an affair, Juliet denies it, but gets upset. Taylor and Juliet see the therapist. Taylor says she wants honesty between her and her mom.
Asif tells Hassan the story about his family’s crossing to the UK on a small boat, and a wave tipped them over. They got picked up by the UK Coast Guard, but his brother and his kids drowned.

Will Unforgotten reveal a romance between Asif and Sam?
Sam, a UK military member, shows up at the apartment where Asif and Hassan are staying. Sam’s angry that Hassan is in his house, saying he can’t have an illegal immigrant there. Asif says Hassan’s not illegal if he’s seeking asylum.
Asif and Sam then talk in Unforgotten season 6, episode 3, with Asif says he helped Hassan come to the UK because he saved his life. Asif then reminds Sam that he’s allowed to be gay and his government won’t kill him because of it—implying there’s a relationship between him and Sam.
The team interviews a woman from Gerry’s old property management service. She said that Gerry was physically and verbally aggressive with his tenants who were asylum seekers. One of them was a translator—Asif.
Fran asks an old employee from Gerry’s pub about the state of Gerry and Juliet’s marriage. She said she heard them arguing. Marty was an employee at the pub and got furloughed during the pandemic. He assaulted Gerry once when he withheld Marty’s furlough compensation money. She also said she heard from another employee that Gerry was having an affair with a woman named “Melinda”.

Fran interviews an old friend of Gerry’s. He said Gerry was a bitter man who felt he was owed more, felt abandoned politically. Gerry created an alt-right online forum. Melinda was a former nun turned columnist.
Social services come to see Dot and want to place her in a nursing home. Marty gets upset and continues to listen to Incel chatter.
Kaz finds a flash drive with a parking lot assault video. A man is seen leaving the attack, “stimming” afterward, which Sunny explains is a way people with autism sometimes deal with stress.
Sunny and Jess take Marty in under suspicion of murder. Marty admits he was angry when Gerry kept his money, and pushed him once, but that was it. Sunny shows him the video from the car park, and Marty excuses himself from the interview to “get my story straight”.
Juliet is grilled by the student, Liz, over the perceived microaggressions she felt in class. Juliet says she’s not apologizing, and Liz needs to “grow up”.
Dot calls Marty and leaves him a voicemail warning him not to say anything about “daddy”.
