It’s that time of year when we start looking out for finale dates. While ABC hasn’t announced dates, we can work out when The Rookie season 7 finale is likely to air on the network.
Now this is just a rough idea based on the amount of episodes left. We know there are 18 episodes to the season, and there are only four episodes left to air. Let’s take a look at what this tells us, and whether there will be more to John Nolan’s story.
When is The Rookie season 7 finale likely to air?
We’re looking at The Rookie season 7 finale to air on Tuesday, May 13. There are just four episodes left, and four weeks takes us to then. This is about normal for an ABC series, so we’re pretty confident in the date.
There could be one more break coming our way. However, it’s important to note that when ABC held The Rookie for a winter premiere it was to make sure there was more consistency to the scheduling. There has been one break due to politics, and I did think that this would happen just to get us to the middle of May for a finale date.
There is great news about The Rookie season 8
As we inch closer to finales, it means we look at the next season of a series. In some great news, there is going to be an eighth season of the series. ABC announced The Rookie season 8 at the same time as multiple other shows, including Will Trent season 4 and 911 season 9.
So, we can go into the finale knowing that a cliffhanger isn’t going to be that bad. However, the question is whether we’ll get a resolution in the fall or if we’ll need to wait until the midseason. To be honest, I’ve liked the consistent schedule, so I’m happy to wait until January 2026 for new episodes! What about you?
As of right now, we’ll need to wait until May to see how the season ends. Then we can take a look at what to expect in The Rookie season 8.
