Will Trent knows that they haven’t got the right person. Now he’s in a race against time to save a kidnapped girl in Will Trent season 3, episode 2.
The two-part season 3 premiere continues on Tuesday, Jan. 14. Will and Marion know that they haven’t got the right person. And yet, this person confessed to killing a cop. He would know that this is a death sentence, so why would he confess to such a thing? It means that someone has something bigger holding over the guy.
Will has worked out what that is. It’s not nothing to do with grandma and everything to do with a daughter. Will and Marion will need to race against the clock to save the girl.
Shattering preconceived notions of law enforcement in Will Trent season 3, episode 2
To be able to get to the bottom of it, Will and Marion need to get answers from Rafael. They need to know who has kidnapped his daughter Sunny, and how they can find her. He’s hopeless, though. Whoever it is won’t give up Sunny without a fight, and he doesn’t want anything to happen to his daughter.
It took time for Rafael to actually confess to killing the cop. Will and Marion know that the likely suspect is a dirty cop, and they need to figure out who it is.
This is where some dark secrets are revealed. Everything Will believes in is going to be further tested as there are preconceived notions of law enforcement completely shattered.
The promo also gives us a look at Angie’s attempts to get back on the force. She wants to be a homicide detective again, but the only way to do that is to have the parole board agree to her rejoining the force. She promises to be the best person that she can be, but will she actually live up to that? Can the board trust her to live up to that promise?
To be honest, Angie covered up a murder in an attempt to save a younger girl. She didn’t want something happening to this girl when the murder was arguably in self-defense. I don’t blame Angie for doing what she did, but does that mean that the force is the best place for her moving forward?
