Prodigal Son Season 1 fall finale preview: Will Malcolm’s memories return?

Jessica wants to find out who The Surgeon’s last victim was, while Malcolm continues to search for his memories. Here’s the Prodigal Son fall finale.

For years, Malcolm was sure there was a body in the trunk. It’s taken to the Prodigal Son Season 1 fall finale for Jessica to finally believe him. Granted, it took until a few episodes ago for Gil to believe Malcolm. Will the fall finale finally give us a few answers to our questions?

It’s not looking likely. Well, okay, so we will likely finally get some answers about the junkyard killer and what Malcolm did in the woods. But I have a feeling those answers are going to lead to more questions, pushing us into the winter break. We’ll be left with a huge cliffhanger, likely with Malcolm getting memories back but left in a dire situation.

After all, Malcolm is heading into something that he’s been told not to. The FBI has taken over the junkyard case, and nobody wants Malcolm involved. It is a conflict of interest and could cause some problems down the road, so it’s a smart move on a case side of things. But for Malcolm’s need for answers, it’s going to lead him to a disgruntled ex-detective who was involved in the previous search for The Surgeon.

The downside with the FBI is that Colette Swanson seems to have a personal vendetta against Malcolm. It’s clear the two have likely worked together in the past, and this could lead to further problems in the new year.

Meanwhile, things aren’t great for the rest of the Whitly family. Now that Jessica knows there was a woman in the trunk, she wants to figure out who it was. That means going to the press with an image of the bracelet. And she’s not holding back any details about why she wants to know!

Chances are this is going to be part of the reason Ainsley and Jessica have a blowout at Christmas dinner. There will also be issues with Ainsley’s need to see her father and everything that is doing to her.
