That was something Nancy believed. Her distrust in her father led to a lot of animosity. With so many other revelations, it wasn’t all that surprising she suspected him and questioned everything she remembered of the past. However, the two were going to make up in the fall finale while on a case together.
As Nancy learned why most of her first-ever case was hazy (hint: it was the supernatural being called Simon?!?!), she also learned how her parents felt when she went missing. After destroying Simon’s altar, she got all her memories back.

Suddenly, all of Nancy’s walls came crashing down. The memories brought back feelings and emotions she didn’t even know she was missing. She had the chance to forgive her dad for everything that she feared he did, realizing that he’s just a man who wants to protect his family. This was a chance to remember just how scared she felt while in the room with the building with the hidden staircase, a chance to remember how much she thought about her parents at that time.
We also got a letter from the past. Nancy found a journal she hadn’t realized she’d lost. It contained a letter from her mom, which brought up even more beautiful and necessary moments between Nancy and Carson.
Of course, just as we get these sweet and needed moments, the two are getting torn apart. All of Nancy’s circumstantial evidence has linked to other more accurate evidence and has led to Carson’s arrest. At least with father and daughter being on the same page, there’s a chance they can work together to prove Carson’s innocence.
The race is now on to prove who really did kill Lucy Sable.
