NCIS is back after its winter break. The winter premiere will pick up off the back of the finale, bringing the consequences of Gibbs’ actions. Here’s a look at the NCIS Season 17, Episode 11 synopsis to get an idea of what to expect.

In CBS’ defense, the synopsis was released before we’d seen the winter finale. We had no idea that Ziva’s case was going to be wrapped up in the one episode, and that during “Into the Wind,” we’d deal with the aftermath; the consequences of Gibbs’ actions. It’s not that Gibbs regrets his actions, but he doesn’t like how the entire situation played out.
Gibbs killed Phineas’ mother, who turned out to be the Sahar who was after Ziva. Her cover name wasn’t exactly ingenious, being Sarah, but we were all still fooled. (Although, you’re not telling me that you didn’t suspect something would happen to ruin the great thing going on between Gibbs and Phineas, right?)
Well, Phineas has now run away. That’s understandable with everything that’s happened, but Gibbs doesn’t find out right away. Gibbs also wants Ziva to head to Paris to be with Tony and Tali (a reunion we need to see), but that’s not going to happen right away, is it? There’s going to be something that keeps Ziva around for the winter premiere.
