Nancy Drew is on a mission to prove her father’s innocence, but it may be more dangerous than she expected. Here are the Season 1, Episode 12 promo takeaways.

Nancy Drew certainly upped the ante with the midseason premiere. Now it’s time to look ahead at the next new episode. We’re breaking down the promo for Nancy Drew Season 1, Episode 12.

There’s a lot of work to do. Not only are there still two murders to figure out, but Nancy and the Drew Crew need to make sure they prove Carson is innocent. And then there’s that whole thing of Ryan almost being killed. Who could have done that?

We won’t get all our answers in the next new episode, but we could get some. We’ll at least get a few more clues.

Before we break down the promo for “The Lady of Larkspure Lane,” you’ll want to check it out. Here are the promo and synopsis, and after that, we’ll get into the teasery details.

"While Nancy and the Drew Crew follow up on the latest Lucy Sable lead, they also work to uncover who tried to kill Ryan, leading them to a startling revelation."

5. The show is taking advantage of mysteries of the week

More from Nancy Drew News

Something that I thought would work for the series was mysteries of the week. Nancy Drew is clearly taking advantage of the possibilities, but they’re not the old-fashioned mysteries of the week. It looks like there is a focus on connecting these weekly cases to the overall story.

Nancy’s latest mystery is linked to Lucy in some way. It’s linked to her trying to clear his name, but she’s always up for another challenge.

4. There’s another ghost in town

Horseshoe Bay is haunted. We know that. What we didn’t know is just how many ghosts there are.

There’s another ghost in town, and this one seems to be connected to an old house. More specifically, it seems to be connected to a room in the old house. I’m starting to think the Winchesters from Supernatural need to turn up to deal with this.

3. Carson and Nancy are both in danger

Carson calls someone to get Nancy out. I’m assuming he’s calling Karen. She’s the one that arrested Carson, but she’s also the one that Carson can trust to look out for his daughter.

But Nancy isn’t the only person in danger. Someone on the inside looks to want to kill Carson. Or is this going to be a red herring and be someone who wants to protect him or find a way to help him escape? My money is on some goon for the Hudsons to get rid of Carson.

2. Ryan may be joining the Drew Crew

Ryan was the one at risk during the last episode. Someone wants him dead, but who exactly? That’s another mystery for the Drew Crew to consider.

With everything the Drew Crew has done for Ryan up to this point, could we see him join in? With his influence, it could help. Or, you know, his name could hinder all investigations.

1. Someone may have answers about Lucy Sable

Nancy is going to meet someone who is under some sort of imprisonment. I’m guessing it’s some sort of psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane, helping to keep the woman and others safe. However, it looks like this woman may have some sort of connection to Lucy Sable.

Lucy doesn’t show up in the promo, but we know that Nancy is on a mission to prove Carson innocent. She’s going to be chasing down any leads that link to Lucy’s murder. That’s the most likely reason for going into that haunted house.
