Just as we got NCIS: LA back from winter break, it went on another extended break. With the Super Bowl out of the way, will we get new episodes tonight?

Just as NCIS: LA returned from its winter hiatus, it went on another break. With the Grammys and the Super Bowl, that’s not all that surprising. There’s no way the series could compete. But will NCIS: Los Angeles return with new episodes tonight, Feb. 9?

Sadly, it’s not time yet for the show’s return. It’s all about the Oscars tonight, and while some of you may be more interested in TV crime dramas than the movie awards, CBS doesn’t think Callen, Sam, and the rest of the team will put up a fight against the awards.

More from NCIS: LA News

CBS isn’t airing the Oscars, though. So, does that mean a rerun of the series? That’s a negative, too. CBS is opting for NCISFBI, and NCIS: New Orleans reruns instead.

Is there any good news? How about when the show will return? NCIS: LA will be back in just a week’s time. Block out Feb. 16 for two hours. This is the week that not only does LA return, but NCIS: New Orleans debuts on its new night.

In NCIS: LA, titled “Commitment Issues,” the team will meet up with Special Agent Nicole CeChamps. Marsha Thomason returns to the series to offer the team some assistance in the case. Moon Bloodgood is also on the cast list for the episode, which will be interesting considering Sam is sharing a drink in a bar with at least one of these ladies.

However, the episode is also going to focus on Anna again. We knew Callen’s search for Anna would come up at some point, and it makes sense to kick start the story with the show’s return after an extended break. He’s going to ask Nell for help with this.
