The game is officially on in Lincoln Rhyme. After a victory during the last episode, could this be the beginning of the end for the Bone Collector?
We’re at the halfway mark of Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector. Naturally, it meant the tables had to be turned. Lincoln, Amelia, and the team finally got a victory against the Bone Collector. Is this the beginning of the end for the serial killer?
This is the first time the Bone Collector has lost the game. Amelia knew something was off and Lincoln managed to work out the clues to find a second location. As Sellitto heading to the initial instinct to find that it was a red herring, Amelia found the third victim before it was too late.
Not only that, but Lincoln has made it clear that he’s not letting the Bone Collector play the game any longer. He’s done chasing the clues, and now it will be on his terms.
What does that mean for the Bone Collector? It could certainly be the beginning of the end on Lincoln Rhyme.

With the loss, this is the time for the Bone Collector to start unraveling. It’s the time for mistakes. He knows that Lincoln is closing in. The tables have turned and Lincoln has learned his mistakes: not trusting his team 100%. Now Lincoln is willing to work with others instead of giving orders, he could find the Bone Collector faster.
As the Bone Collector starts unraveling, he’s more likely to forget some of the details. There’s a chance an eyelash or hair could fall. He could leave a fingerprint behind.
It will likely take a few more episodes, but there’s likely to be some sort of DNA left behind. Kate may be able to get some clues as to where the Bone Collector is staying or even who he is.

His wife could find out
So far, the Bone Collector has managed to keep his secret from his wife. It was a neighbor who found out a few episodes ago, and he took care of that. The problem is his wife knows him too well. She knows that he’s tense and isn’t happy about something. Those feelings are going to come to the surface even more.
While New York is panicked, he’s not going to be able to keep his secret from his wife for much longer. Surely she has to figure out that the Bone Collector returned at the same time they did. Isn’t it a little too obvious? She doesn’t strike me as stupid.
This could lead to his wife becoming one of his victims. Will that lead to the team figuring out who it is?
