Murdoch Mysteries Season 13 continues throughout the month. You’ll get Episode 12-16, each one dropping on every Monday throughout the month. However, if you are still to get caught up with that, you may want something that starts from the beginning during March. That’s where the rest of these options fit in.
Blood Season 2 released weekly
The second season of Blood premieres on Mar. 9 with two episodes. After that, the episodes will air weekly with the finale airing in April. Need to get caught up? The first season is already available on the streamer and you’ll be able to binge-watch this weekend.
Adrian Dunbar is back as Jim Hogan. Years after the suspicious death of his wife, he finds out that his daughter is suffering from the same illness. However, when his daughter is involved in a car accident and a body is found in the trunk of her car, he needs to figure out whether she’s a pawn in a plot or directly involved.
Miss Fisher and The Return
There are two TV movies/feature-length arrivals on Acorn TV during March 2020. The first is The Return, which originally aired in 2003. Julie Walters stars as Lizzie Hunt, a former alcoholic who had been imprisoned for her husband’s murder. Drunk at the time, she believed she could have done it. However, as her memory starts to come back to her, she realizes that may have not been the case.
Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears is the second release, which sees the wonderful Miss Fisher back in business. You’ll want to catch up on the three seasons of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries first. Essie Davis returns as the titular character, who is ready to solve more mysteries. This time she’s heading to 1920s British Palestine.
Liverpool 1 for an older series
If you want something from the past, you’ll want to wait until the end of March 2020. Acorn TV gets the streaming rights to Liverpool 1, which stars Samantha Womack as DC Isobel de Pauli. The series follows the day-to-day life of Bridewell’s vice squad, Liverpool 1. However, de Pauli realizes that not everything is as it seems.
While the team try to deal with the various crimes happening around them, there’s a chance that cops may also be involved. De Pauli and her team will head to the hidden underbelly of Liverpool’s criminals, where she witnesses the unseen blood connections she never knew about.
Foreign language series with The Schouwendam 12
Finally, we have to mention Acorn TV’s foreign language addition this month. The sequel to The Oldenheim 12, the series follows a similar premise but in another town. This time, we head to the Dutch village of Schouwendam.
When people in the town start to go missing under mysterious circumstances, the townfolk think back to the past. Just 25 years earlier, two teenagers went missing and nobody knows what happened. Is it possible that the recent disappearances are connected? That’s something the village community fears.
