We’re heading into an all-new hour of Chicago PD tonight off the back of the two-hour crossover. It’s an episode that’s going to make Upton face some of her childhood. Here’s what to expect in Chicago PD Season 7, Episode 16, and how to watch it live.
Upton and Halstead will be on the screen a lot during this week’s episode. In a way, it’s about time. There’s been a lot of focus on the other characters for the last couple of episodes but a lot of things left unsaid between these two. We’ve not focused too much on them since Halstead was shot and almost killed in the winter finale/premiere. Okay, I do want more time spent on Atwater and I’d like to get to know Rojas a little more, but we need balance with everyone.

For Upton, it’s all about her childhood. The case that turns into a homicide may or may not involve domestic violence. Okay, so it does involve domestic violence based on the promo and synopsis, but is it possible that this is the road the writers want us to think the episode is on? We know Upton experienced violence in her childhood, so the case will turn personal for her.
For Halstead, the case causes conflict between him and Voight. That’s never a good thing. Voight always wants things done his way, and he doesn’t always like Halstead’s righteous instinct. I’ve never been a Voight fan so I do find it hard to side with him, but sometimes he does manage to get the job done when nobody else can. Is that going to be the case during this episode?
