There were questions earlier in SWAT Season 3 whether Bonnie and Tan were right for each other. Bonnie certainly proved she is perfect.

Earlier in SWAT Season 3, we wondered if Tan and Bonnie were right for each other. Even they wondered if they were right for each other. Episode 15 made it clear that Bonnie is perfect.

During the episode, Tan’s mother questioned why she’d never met his girlfriend. It was quickly clear why. She has been so critical of her son over the years that he was scared to introduce his girlfriend to his mother. This stage of a relationship can be a make-or-break-it moment.

The last thing Tan wanted was to scare his girlfriend way. He didn’t want to put pressure on Bonnie or to even make her feel like she wasn’t wanted.

Yet, he knew he needed to take this step. He loves Bonnie and that means she needed to meet his mother.

Bonnie very quickly proved that she is perfect for Tan. We didn’t get to see Bonnie prepare for the meeting during SWAT Season 3, Episode 15, but it’s clear that she took some time. Not only did she show that she had listened to Tan’s stories about his dad, but she also showed that she understands the family’s culture. The first thing she did was bring an offering for their altar. It was a beautiful thing to do and certainly put a smile on Mrs. Tan’s face.

Many girlfriends would be nervous about going into a family with a different culture. They’d be afraid of putting a foot wrong, and we’ve certainly seen her when she can be nervous about situations. Yet, she was confident, knowing that she could tackle this stage of the relationship. She was ready to meet her potential future mother-in-law and confident that she’d made the right choices with the research.

Tan noted that it was because of Bonnie that everything went so well. At the end of the episode, Tan’s mom even shared how much she likes his girlfriend and also apologized for being so critical over the years. It was a beautiful moment and made all the best because of Bonnie’s actions.

While the weed gummies certainly had us wondering about Bonnie and Tan’s compatibility, meeting his mom has put faith in her being the perfect woman for him. Please don’t mess this up, SWAT writers!
