True crime fans can now watch Cops episodes free on Pluto TV as the streaming app has now launched a binge-watch channel devoted to the show.

Cops is the original true crime show, and now it has its own channel. Pluto TV has launched a new channel that airs nothing but Cops episodes all day, every day as part of their “Binge Watch” area.

Fans can tune in either on their phone (by downloading the Pluto TV app) or by going to the Pluto TV website on their computer or tablet. No subscription is required, so you can enjoy the channel for free.

Cops began in 1989 and has aired more than 1,000 episodes in the 32 seasons since. Pluto TV hasn’t said if they have access to every episode or just a selection of them, but they certainly are not going to be short of options.

More from True Crime

The series originated on FOX and then moved to Paramount Network (formerly Spike) in 2013, and it pioneered the idea of following police officers on patrol around the United States.

It has four Emmy Award nominations (though no wins), and has inspired a number of other true crime series over the last three decades, including one of TV’s biggest current hits Live PD.

So if you’re a true crime fan, or a TV crime drama fan, chances are you’ve watched Cops or at the very least heard of it.

And Pluto TV is making it about as accessible as it could possibly be, since Pluto is one of the rare streaming services that doesn’t require people to pay a subscription fee or even create an account to use it. You can simply download the app or visit the website and get started watching dozens of channels, including some true crime channels and mysteries like Midsomer Murders.

With Live PD on its regularly scheduled March break for the next two weeks, this binge-watch channel is an excellent alternative. But we’ll have to see if it digs back into the archives and shows us some of those episodes from the 1980’s, or just the ones that have aired on Paramount (as Pluto TV is owned by Viacom, which also owns Paramount Network).

Check out some highlights from the most recent season in the video below, and then start streaming the classics this weekend!
