10. Murdoch Mysteries

More from TV Crime Dramas

When it comes to Canadian crime dramas, there is one that will always stick out. It’s all about Murdoch Mysteries, the Victorian-set series that sees a police detective ahead of his time. Murdoch likes to use methods of solving crime that weren’t even considered back in the time. Naturally, those around him question his ideas, but that doesn’t stop him from getting the job done.

There are 13 seasons to the series. The 13th season is currently airing and will wrap in April 2020. It’s most definitely something you want to check out from the very beginning right now.

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll find yourself engrossed in the tales. Can you work out who the murderers are and what the inventions are supposed to be?

9. Queens of Mystery

If you prefer traditional murder mysteries, you’ll want to check out the six-part series Queens of Mystery. The series tells three individual tales over two episodes each.

It all starts with a woman returning to her childhood town as a police inspector. Her aunts are crime mystery novel writers in the local town and fancy themselves as sleuths. However, the local police force doesn’t like them getting in the way. When there’s a murder in the village, the three aunts try their hardest to not get their niece in trouble, but it’s much easier said than done.
