There are five TV shows (well, four shows and a TV movie) to check out throughout the month of May. One of those you’ll have seen on other streaming services, but others are airing for the first time in North America.
35 Days Season 4

We’ll start with the release of 35 Days, which sees a jury deliberate the evidence of a gruesome murder case. However, in 35 hours, one of them will be dead and it’s one of the other jurors who did it.
Who did it? That’s the mystery throughout the eight-episode season. Three seasons are already on the streamer. This is the fourth season dropping.
35 Days Season 4 comes to BritBox on May 1.
A Confession
Fans of Martin Freeman will be excited to see him on the TV again. This time he’s in a BritBox Original, A Confession. Told over the course of six episodes, Freeman is Detective Superintendent Steve Fulcher, and he has a case that involves a missing woman.
Sian O’Callaghan disappeared after a night out with friends. Fulcher believes that she’s still alive and being held somewhere. Now he needs to retrace her steps and figure out the mystery before it is too late.
All six episodes of A Confession will be available from May 12.
Poirot Seasons 9 to 12
Love Agatha Christie’s Belgian detective? Of course you do! Well, it’s time to check out David Suchet in his signature role. Whether it’s the first time or the millionth, the series never gets old.
Poirot will take on some of the hardest crimes to solve. Of course, he does so with his theatrical flair. We’ll get 12 episodes, and each one runs for 120 minutes, so it will feel like 12 mini-movies.
Poirot joins the service on May 15.
Poirot: Mysterious Affair at Styles
If you can’t get enough of the super-sleuth, then you’ll be excited to hear that the made-for-TV movie is heading to BritBox in May 2020. It’s one of those TV crime dramas that you can’t afford to miss.
Based on Agatha Christie’s first published book, we get to meet Hercule Poirot for the first time. In war-torn England, he works hard to figure out a mystery that involves war veterans, Belgian refugees, and more.
The movie is available from May 16.
Line of Duty Seasons 1 to 4
Finally, it’s all about the British drama Line of Duty. This is one of the most popular TV crime dramas going and you can watch the first four seasons in one place.
While most TV crime dramas follow the police catching criminals, this series follows a task force set up to catch criminal cops. It’s a cat-and-mouse game involving corruption and modern policing at its finest.
