It’s Wednesday night, which usually means a new episode of SWAT Season 3 airs. That’s not the case this week. When will the SWAT Season 3 finale air on CBS?

We know the SWAT Season 3 finale is coming. It’s the next new episode, but all eyes are on when that will happen. There isn’t an episode of the cop drama tonight, so when will the Season 3 finale air on CBS?

There’s only one more week to wait. Tonight, Wednesday, May 13, will see a three-hour special of Survivor. It’s the finale of the reality program, which means Shemar Moore and the team are back with a new episode next week, May 20.

It’s a little later than expected. When the coronavirus shut down production, there were other changes that needed to be made. Part of that meant everyone working from home, which would have slowed down some of the post-production work on episodes that had just wrapped filming. That’s pushed back the abrupt finale.

The good news is we’ll be going into this finale knowing it’s not the end. CBS renewed SWAT for a fourth season earlier this month. That means the episode focused on the L.A. riots will be able to happen.

Considering the finale is set to end with somewhat of a cliffhanger, the renewal is even better news. The episode is supposed to launch us into what was the A-story of the intended season finale. That episode couldn’t film, so it’s likely to be the Season 4 premiere. Whether the L.A. riots part of the storyline will remain is unclear, but that storyline will happen sometime early in Season 4.

So, we’re just waiting for one week for the SWAT Season 3 finale. Remember you can get your SWAT fix with CBS All Access.
