Blindspot season 5, episode 2: How to watch online, what to expect
Blindspot brings back Bill Nye in We Didn’t Start The Fire. Here’s how to watch Blindspot online and what to expect from Blindspot season 5, episode 2.
This week’s episode of Blindspot features the return of Bill Nye—and here’s all the details on how to watch Blindspot online or on TV this week so that you can catch “We Didn’t Start The Fire.”
The next episode of the NBC series, which might be taking its title from the hit Billy Joel song of the same name, is banking on the star power of the Science Guy. Patterson (Ashley Johnson) has to lean on her dad for support as the team begins their comeback plan.
What’s more interesting than that, though, is how they’re going to recover after last week’s huge death. Will they be able to move on following the tragic loss?

In the fifth (and final) season premiere, the TV crime drama killed Edgar Reade (Rob Brown). The longtime team member sacrificed his life to save his partner and love interest Tasha Zapata (Audrey Esparza) in the aftermath of a drone strike.
With both of them pinned under rubble, Reade moved so that Zapata would be able to free herself, even though it meant he would be crushed to death. And although the show gave him a very emotional sendoff at the end of the premiere, Blindspot playing out the long-term effects of Reade’s absence is a lot more interesting than a celebrity guest spot.
So hopefully this episode will find a way to mix both storylines together, as well as give our heroes some lead with which they can come out of hiding and get their lives back. Blindspot season 5 has expanded so far beyond its initial premise and scope that it feels like forever ago that they were dedicated FBI agents solving crimes—will they be heroes again in the end, or FBI scapegoats?
Here’s how NBC describes the episode:
"Jane and the team reach out to Patterson’s father in the hope of gaining access to a high-level conference in Finland where they hope to bring Matthew Weitz [to] their side."
