Almost Paradise takes a musical turn in Lone Wolf. Find out what Alex Walker is in for next with our Almost Paradise season 1, episode 8 preview.
The next Almost Paradise has the TV crime drama getting a little starstruck—but when a famous musician comes to Cebu, it just gives Alex Walker another chance to get in trouble.
“Lone Wolf” has Alex (Christian Kane) once again drafted to work for a celebrity. This time, it’s country music star August Crowe, and as in the prior episode “Pistol Whip” our hero is a bit of a fanboy. But the plot could be something right out of a country song.
There have been a series of high-profile kidnappings taking place, and August’s fame makes him the perfect next target. Ocampo (Nonie Buencamino) certainly doesn’t want a star being snatched on his watch.
So Alex winds up pulling bodyguard duty, and it’s not long before he figures out that there’s a lot about his hero that he didn’t know—including some things that could get them both killed.
With some help from Kai Mendoza (Samantha Richelle) and Ernesto Alamares (Arthur Acuña), Alex has to keep August safe not only from the kidnappers but also from himself. And along the way, the two of them might wind up learning a few things about each other.
“Lone Wolf” could be a very entertaining episode, as Alex could certainly use another friend, considering how much he has to deal with. Last week’s installment “Uncle Danny” proved that he doesn’t have a lot of people he can lean on, and he deserves better than that.
At the same time, it does draw natural comparisons to “Pistol Whip” and so Almost Paradise will have to differentiate this episode from that one. Will this be more serious and introspective than the over-the-top adventure of that prior story, which ended with everyone almost getting blown up? Or how will it set itself apart?
Plus, with only three episodes of Almost Paradise left this season, viewers are starting to wonder how it’s all going to end and where it could go in a potential season 2. The stakes are only going to get higher from here on out. Hopefully Alex will make it through the season in one piece, but he’s not accomplishing his goal of a relaxing retirement when he’s standing next to a celebrity!
Here’s how WGN America officially describes this episode:
When Alex takes a job protecting a country singer he idolizes, he quickly learns that you should never meet your heroes. But when the singer is kidnapped, Alex must figure out who is really behind the crime and rescue him before it’s too late.
