Liar Season 2 premiere: Did Laura kill Andrew?

The Liar Season 2 premiere ended just the way you expected for Laura

When Andrew turned up dead in the marshes, you just knew there was only one way the Liar Season 2 premiere would end. Laura was arrested, but is she the one that actually killed him?

At the end of Liar Season 1, it certainly looked like it was possible for her to kill Andrew. She had drugged him and dragged him to the boathouse. But that doesn’t make her a murderer.

In fact, the murder took place three weeks later. Andrew had gone missing for three weeks and Laura had moved on. The first he turns back up is murdered, and it looks obvious that Laura was the one to kill him. That’s especially the case when Andrew’s car key turns up in her bedside drawer.

There are so many other suspects

Even if it was Laura, there’s no way that she would have been able to kill him herself. There’s no way she could have dragged him to the marshes. That means she had someone working with her if she even did kill him.

But it’s more likely that someone else killed him. There are plenty of other people out there with motives. One of those is Carl, the partner of one of Andrew’s previous victims. Their relationship had been destroyed because Andrew made his victims believed that things were a drunken mistake. Yet, deep down, there was always that thought that something was wrong.

Carl is distant. It’s like he’s hiding something, but is it just guilt for not believing that Winnie hadn’t cheated on him? Or is it guilt for killing a man, even an awful man?

And then there’s Laura’s boyfriend. He has some sort of criminal history linked to the beating of a man. He doesn’t like injustice by the sounds of things so takes matters into his own hands. Did he hear about what Andrew did and then kill Andrew?

Did Andrew do it to himself?

The key is the one thing that suggests Laura definitely did it, but what if Andrew did it and framed her? Is it possible that Andrew planted his car key, took himself to the marshes, and killed himself? The coroner did say that suicide was a possibility but unlikely.

Of course, nobody has found the murder weapon in the marshes. Yet, at the same time, it doesn’t look like anyone has searched for the murder weapon properly. They just know the murder weapon wasn’t left with Andrew.

The police should have search for the weapon, but then it was low tide. It’s possible that the weapon was swept out to sea.

Laura killing him feels a little obvious, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t do it.
