5 great TV crime dramas to check out this weekend, including The Woods

It can be difficult to find the right TV crime dramas to check out each weekend. That’s especially the case with many broadcast networks not airing new episodes of their dramas. That doesn’t mean there’s nothing to watch.

When you look at streaming services and cable channels, there is plenty to watch this weekend. We’re bringing the five top options, whether you’re looking for a TV movie or you need a new episode of a current drama.

Their Killer Affair

More from TV Crime Dramas

This top pick will give you something to watch on Saturday night. It’s not a TV series, but it’s a TV movie on Lifetime, so it counts when it comes to TV crime dramas. Their Killer Affair is also known as Deadly Expose and focuses on Detective Maxine Peyton as she investigates a series of carnal murders in a small beach town. It’s soon clear that the murderer may be far more intimately closer than originally believed.

Watch Their Killer Affair on Lifetime on Saturday at 8/7c.

Sanctuary

Tune into Sundance Now, where you can now binge-watch all eight episodes of Sanctuary. I know this is the weekend that many of you have been waiting for instead of watching weekly. The mystery about the twins unravels, but will the truth about Hel and Siri finally be believed?

The final episode dropped on Thursday. You’ve got all weekend to binge-watch.

Snowpiercer

If you thought because the murder had been solved that this show should be forgotten about, you’ll be mistaken. It’s no longer a traditional TV crime drama, but it’s still just as thrilling. Third Class is threatening to revolt as the murder trial takes place. Meanwhile, Josie learns that Layton is missing.

Watch Snowpiercer on Sunday at 9/8c on TNT.

Marcella Season 3

Turn your attention to Netflix for the next two TV crime dramas. The first is Marcella Season 3, which is available to stream on Sunday. You’ll be able to binge-watch all eight episodes of the latest drama, seeing Marcella take on the undercover identity of Keira as she infiltrates a Belfast crime family. The problem is her past threatens to expose her.

Marcella Seasons 1 and 2 are available to binge-watch right away. The third season drops at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 a.m. PT on Sunday.

The Woods

Finally, it’s all about the Harlan Coben adaptation The Woods. If you loved The Stranger, there’s no doubt that you’re going to want to check out this drama right away. A prosecutor gets a glimmer of hope to solve the disappearance of his sister from 25 years ago when evidence shows up on a more recent homicide victim.

All episodes are now available to stream on Netflix.
