Here’s the Evil season 1 DVD release date plus the special features.

Evil season 1 became a cult hit for CBS when the supernatural crime drama premiered this fall, and now we have all the Evil season 1 DVD details for those who want to own a physical copy.

The series stars Mike Colter (The Good Wife, Luke Cage) as priest-in-training David Acosta and Katja Herbers as psychologist Kristen Bouchard. The duo form an unlikely team as they look into the Catholic Church’s archives of unexplained phenomena, trying to find explanations for what seems to be inexplicable.

While CBS has already renewed the show for a second season, the company’s home video arm CBS Home Entertainment is also putting the first season onto DVD.

Evil season 1 DVD release date

The Evil season 1 DVD release date is already here—the three-disc set was released on Tuesday, June 30! You can order your copy now on Amazon and own it for $29.98 (as of this writing).

There is no Blu-Ray release for this season.

All 13 episodes from the first season are included, but be aware that the set is in full-frame, not widescreen like most TV on DVD releases, so don’t expect the same video presentation that you may have seen on TV.

It does have subtitles for the hard of hearing; however, it doesn’t support non-English viewers. The only language included, both for audio and subtitles, is English.

Evil season 1 DVD special features

There are two featurettes included as special features on the Evil season 1 box set. The first is “Evil Season One: Genesis,” which is a traditional making-of video that takes viewers behind the scenes with creators Robert and Michelle King (The Good Wife) and select cast members. It talks about how the show was created and the main roles were cast.

The second entitled “Does Evil Exist?” is an interview-type video where the creators and cast are asked about their thoughts regarding the concept of evil and if it really exists in the world.

A handful of deleted and extended scenes for seven of the 13 episodes (the pilot, as well as “177 Minutes,” “Rose390,” “October 31,” “Vatican III,” “Exorcism Part 2” and “7 Swans A Singin”) round out the extras.

There are no commentary tracks or bios included.
