These are the biggest questions for the Burden of Truth Season 3 finale

It’s hard to say how Burden of Truth Season 3 will end. I want to say that it will be with a happy ending for Kodie and her children, but everything seems to be against Joanna and Billy right now.

The ending of Burden of Truth Season 3, Episode 7 was certainly true to penultimate episode form. It delivered plenty of highs and lows, with a major twist at the end that catapults us into the final episode.

Let’s break down the events. Here are the five biggest questions from the episode.

Will Cassie get to keep her baby?

Cassie gave birth during Burden of Truth Season 3, Episode 7. She ade a conscious effort to make sure it didn’t happen in the hospital. If that was the case, Cassie knew she’d never see her baby.

Luna and Taylor drove Cassie to a friend’s, but it was too far away. The two (and Siri) had to help Cassie give birth.

Now the question is what happens next. Will Cassie get to keep her baby or is she doomed to have the baby taken away from her because of the faulty drug test?

What will Mercer want in order to help?

Just as it looked like Mercer was going to be put behind bars again, Joanna and Billy realized he was needed for their case. Now Mercer has the opportunity to help. He knows that he will have the full say on whether the case is a success or not, which means he has an opportunity for himself.

He’s going to want to make some demands. Those demands will likely include not going behind bars now that his blackmail has been found out.

Will Owen ever get Mercer behind bars?

If Mercer makes demands, Joanna and Billy will need Owen to work with him. This could prevent Owen from ever getting Mercer behind bars. That means a bigger problem with Mercer leading the charge.

Is Owen ever going to succeed? Will he still have his badge by the end of the season? I’ve known many men like Mercer over the years and would love for nothing to get his comeuppance, but right now, the parents who have had children unfairly taken away need him. And I loathe to admit that.

Is Kodie going to be reunited with her children?

It all comes back to Kodie and her children. This was the reason Joanna got involved in the case in the first place. Now she needs to deliver on the promises made to reunite the family.

Is this even possible? Even if everything involving the drug test is proven in Kodie’s favor, there’s still the problem of the abduction. There’s also the issue of the drug problems in the past. And there’s the issue of the adoption order. There’s just so much working against Kodie. Is there enough time to help?

Will Crawford Chang still stand at the end?

Finally, we have the law firm that remains in danger. During Burden of Truth Season 3, Episode 7, Crawford Chang was named in a defamation lawsuit, with a figure that would bankrupt the firm. All Joanna can do is win the case and that would mean the defamation case would go away.

But even then, there are financial problems. Billy is sending money to his brother, Billy and Joanna are expecting a child, and this is a pro bono case. Is this going to end with Crawford Chang shutting down less than a year starting up?
