Need new TV crime dramas to watch? Or just want to pad out your collection? Precinct TV has your guide to the best TV crime drama deals available on Amazon Video this week. Grab these great series at equally great prices!

The Mentalist season 1 ($4.99)

The Mentalist was one of CBS‘s most popular TV crime dramas from 2008 to 2015, but if you somehow never watched it or just want to watch it again, you can get 23 episodes from the first season for $4.99. That’s less than $0.22 an episode.

Simon Baker (The Guardian) stars as Patrick Jane, who used to pass himself off as a fake psychic medium. But after his wife and daughter were brutally murdered by a serial killer, Jane changed his direction and now consults for the Serious Crime Unit of the California Bureau of Investigation.

The first-season cast also includes Robin Tunney (Prison Break), Tim Kang (Magnum P.I.), Owain Yeoman (Generation Kill) and Amanda Righetti (Colony), while 24 alums Xander Berkeley, Gregory Itzin and Leslie Hope are among the guest stars.

Murder in the First season 2 ($9.99)

From the legendary Steven Bochco (NYPD Blue) and Eric Lodal comes this TNT drama that tracks one ongoing homicide investigation every season. In season 2, an elite group of San Francisco inspectors unravel the truth behind a violent school bus shooting.

The best thing Murder in the First has going for it is its cast, led by Taye Diggs (Private Practice) and Kathleen Robertson (Northern Rescue, Boss). The show also stars Ian Anthony Dale (Hawaii Five-0, Salvation), Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon A Time), Currie Graham (The Rookie) and Lombardo Boyar (The Bernie Mac Show).

The second season is the best of the three, and the cast makes up for the rare moments where the writing stumbles. It’s worth a watch for all the familiar faces alone.

My Life is Murder season 1 ($9.99)

Lucy Lawless (Battlestar Galactica and of course Xena: Warrior Princess) stars in this quirky Australian TV crime drama as an ex-cop turned private investigator who can’t stay out of trouble. This is a very personality-driven show similar to Psych, with Lawless’s character Alexa never short of a witty remark or a sneaky way of solving the crime.

Guest stars in the first 10 episodes include Don Hany (Bad Mothers) and Alin Sumarwata (Strike Back). If you enjoy crime dramas that are less about the “whodunit” and more about who’s doing the investigating, this is a breezily fun show that will keep you entertained for hours. There’s no such thing as a boring character on this show.

Public Morals season 1 ($9.99)

Speaking of TNT, audiences may not remember Public Morals, which aired on the network back in 2015. The show starred Edward Burns (who also created, wrote and produced it) as a hard-nosed cop in 1960’s New York. It only lasted one season, so you’re getting the complete series, which is worth a look for anyone who enjoyed HBO’s recent Perry Mason prequel.

The show attracted a lot of well-known guest stars to flesh out its lurid noir world, including Neal McDonough (The 100, Arrow), Timothy Hutton (Leverage, American Crime), Audrey Esparza (Blindspot) and Robert Knepper (Prison Break). But it’s Burns’ performance that drives it, and he’s got a clear vision of what he wants his story to be. Be warned, though, since it follows a squad of vice cops, it gets into some pretty adult content—at least as much as could be shown on TNT.
