It’s time for the trial of the chief petty officer. This is a guy who knew it would come to this, but he’s not going down without a fight. While his own guys may have turned on him, there are others who are either too scared of him or believe what he was doing was the right thing.

So, it’s not all too surprising to find out that a star witness is missing. It’s going to be up to the team to figure out where this star witness is and get the witness to come back.
There are just a few other issues that could lead the case to collapse. One of the petty chief’s guys is going to testify as the killer. That will certainly cause some reasonable doubt, and the petty chief knows it. Now it’s up to everyone else to prove that the guy is lying.
Sam is the one who will take this the hardest. As a former SEAL, he knows the code of conduct. He knows the rules of war. He holds everyone up to that standard, and he hated the fact that a SEAL would go against everything and be able to get away with it.
However, Sam will want to figure out what the new “killer” has to say. What does the petty chief officer have on him to make him lie under oath?
