We get a story ripped from the headlines in FBI: Most Wanted Season 3, Episode 2. It’s time for the team to find someone from the Jan. 6 riots.

If you’ve seen other Dick Wolf shows, you’ll know that they tend to rip storylines from the headlines. Just look at most of Law & Order: SVU episodes to get an idea. It’s not that surprising that FBI: Most Wanted Season 3, Episode 2 is going to follow something similar.

This time, the team will need to go after a fugitive from the Jan. 6 riots. We all know about the riots. The whole world heard about the riots. And there were manhunts after them for certain individuals.

It’s not all too surprising that the team is going after someone. How will everyone react to this case? They’ll all have something to say about the Jan. 6 riots.

A new team member joins on FBI: Most Wanted Season 3, Episode 2

The FBI: Most Wanted Season 3 premiere saw the exit of an original cast member. We’ve said goodbye to Kellan Lutz’s Crosby, although this doesn’t have to be permanent. Crosby was injured and had some rehab ahead of him, so he’s off to Oklahoma to his family for recovery.

That means a position has opened up. No, Alexa Davalos’s character doesn’t count as the newest member of the team. She’s taking Clinton’s empty spot on the team.

At the end of the FBI: International premiere (remember, it was a three-way crossover), Jess told Maggie that he had requested someone from the Miami office. Kristin Gaines is joining the team. We got the brief introduction to her in the premiere, but we’ll get to see her in action more on FBI: Most Wanted Season 3, Episode 2.

We should also get a little bit of focus on Jess’s life back home. During the first episode, we learned that it was Sarah’s ex who was killed. However, Sarah and Tali would have been left terrified, so what are their feelings about the whole situation?

Check out the synopsis for the episode:
