Law & Order: SVU preview: The team faces a tycoon with a twisted secret
Law & Order: SVU is back again with an episode involving a truly bizarre case.
The series continued its return of new storylines after a long break with a dramatic episode. When women were drugged in bars, the squad was quickly on the case.
A turn was discovering that Muncy’s brother was somehow tied in. It seemed a ring was into drugging women and then delivering them to “parties” as favors. Muncy’s brother wasn’t directly involved but did know how they could find the bar where the druggings took place.
Brooklyn cop Churlish took the lead over Benson’s objections, including putting herself out as bait for the abductors. That nearly backfired when she was drugged and taken away and the rest of the team barely rescued her in time.
Afterward, Benson chewed out Churlish on how the only way to truly impress her would be to follow her orders rather than go out on her own. Hopefully, those words sink in for this week’s case.

“Bubble Wrap” has the team investigating the son of a construction tycoon for an assault. The case takes a twisted turn when they discover the woman treats her grown son like an infant, complete with having him wear a diaper around her.
This will complicate the prosecution, especially when the woman spreads her influence to get witnesses to back down and add another dark turn to Law & Order: SVU.
