We’re ready for the Sunday night dramas. The question is whether CBS is ready for us. Is NCIS: Los Angeles on tonight, Sunday, May 28?

It’s finale week. Doesn’t that mean we’ll get to see another episode of NCIS: Los Angeles. After all, the NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii finales aired on Monday.

Well, there is some bad news. There is not a new episode of the LA-based series tonight. Instead, the finale aired last Sunday, May 21. There is a little bit of good news, though. There will be a rerun this week. We’re heading back to the Nov. 6 episode, “Flesh & Blood,” tonight.

When will NCIS: Los Angeles return with new episodes on CBS?

It wasn’t just the NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14 finale on Sunday. It was the series finale. In even more bad news, we won’t get a new episode of the series. CBS canceled the show, but did offer it one episode to wrap up some storylines.

A storyline that wasn’t wrapped up was Hetty’s. We found out that Nell was leading a team to find Hetty and save her, but we didn’t get to see Linda Hunt return for the series finale. Does this open the door to a spin-off? Possibly.

There is some good news for Sam Hana fans. He will be in another NCIS series. LL Cool J is moving into NCIS: Hawaii for the third season. Sam turned up in Venezuela to save Tennant and Whistler in the Season 2 finale, and LL Cool J had already made it clear that he was interested in coming into the new series. Well, people listened and he’s confirmed for Season 3.

Now we’re just waiting for NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 to premiere. That’s not going to be until fall 2023 at the earliest, but we’re looking at it being a fair bit later.

NCIS: Los Angeles is available to stream in full on Paramount+.
