Walker Independence The Complete Series DVD release date confirmed for July 2023
Walker Independence is sadly over, but at least fans will be able to enjoy the first season on DVD. Warner Bros. has announced a release date for the complete series of the spin-off, so when does it hit stores?
Premiering in 2022, Walker Independence stars Katherine McNamara as Mary Collins, who comes to the Old West town of Independence with her husband. When her husband is murdered, Mary is convinced the town’s new sheriff did it. Taking on the name Abby Walker, she works to prove what happened and joins a small group of misfits fighting to save the town.
The series co-stars Matt Barr as outlaw Hoyt Rawlins; Katie Findlay as Kate, an undercover Pinkerton agent; Justin Johnson Cortez as Calien, a Native American warrior; Greg Hovanessian as sinister Sheriff Tom Collins; Philemon Chambers as Deputy Augustus; and Lawrence Kao as shopkeeper Kai.
The show ended on a cliffhanger, promising more drama in Season 2. Sadly, the CW canceled it and attempts to find it a new home were for naught, so the upcoming DVD is being cited as “The Complete Series.”
When does Walker Independence come to DVD?
Walker Independence The Complete Series is scheduled to be released on DVD on Tuesday, July 4. It will contain the entire 13-episode series with no word on whether there are any special features. It’s unlikely there will be, given how short-lived the show was.
At least fans can enjoy the full series in a DVD format to rewatch and wish there had been more years for this compelling spin-off. It will not be released in Blu-ray.
