The broadcast networks are putting many of their shows on a break. This includes ABC, which will hold new episodes of 911 season 9 for the next few weeks.
There isn’t a new episode on tonight, Thursday, Feb. 5. The good news is that we now know when 911 season 9 will return, and we have an idea of what’s going to happen in the episode.
Why isn’t 911 season 9 new tonight?
The lack of new episode comes down to the Winter Olympics. NBC will start its coverage tonight, Thursday, Feb. 5, and ABC knows that it’s going to be difficult to run up against it. Now, there are some ABC shows that will still air, but not our favorite first responder drama.
The show will be off for the whole time the Winter Olympics will air. It does encourage us to support our athletes as they compete on the world’s stage.
When will 911 season 9 episode 11 air?
We’re all ready for the next episode considering the cliffhanger we were left with during episode 10. However, we have to wait until the end of the month. The promo for the new episode confirmed that 911 season 9 episode 11 would air on Thursday, Feb. 26.
This is when the majority of shows will return. In fact, CBS will be back this week with all its Thursday night dramas, and we’ll see NBC’s Thursday night lineup return as well.
What to expect when 911 season 9 returns
Of course, the big focus of the episode is going to be on finding Christopher. At the end of episode 10, Abigail picked up Christopher from school, claiming that his dad sent her to do it. However, Christopher was supposed to get on the bus, and when he doesn’t get dropped off, Eddie knows that there is a major concern.
He also knows that it’s likely Abigail, and that will lead to him turning to Athena for help. Abigail is an angry woman, and considering what happened to her that’s not surprising. However, she can’t lash out in the way that she has. Plus, why is she going after Eddie’s son? Is it because she wants to replace Christopher?
There will also be some time spent on Hen and Karen, as they discuss whether there is a future for Hen at the 118. That conversation will be put on hold, as a truck T-bones them while they’re on the road, and there will be questions about whether either of them will survive!
911 returns on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 8/7c on ABC. For now, catch up on Hulu.
