We’re at that time of the year when our favorite TV shows come to the end of another season. For some of our favorite crime dramas, we’re saying a permanent goodbye to them. CBS is the only network to set finale dates at the time of writing this, so let’s take a look at all the dates you need to put in your diary.
The finales this year will take place throughout April and May. Some of the shows will get a two-episode finale on one night, while other shows have two-episode finales spread out over two weeks. It is an interesting choice for some of the networks.
We’re only looking at the crime dramas on CBS in this post. There are plenty of other great shows on the network.

Notable season finales to check out from CBS
There are a few dates to note carefully. As mentioned, CBS is opting to put double finales on one night with some shows, but splitting up other shows. FBI: International is one of those shows that will get a two-part finale spread out across two weeks, with part 2 airing on the same night as the finales of the two other FBI shows.
We did add Fire Country on the list despite it not being a crime drama. This is getting a spin-off series Sheriff Country in the 2025–2026 season, so you’ll see coverage for that. As for Fire Country, its two-hour season finale will affect SWAT, which is why it needed to be included. There won’t be an episode of SWAT that night, but there will be a two-hour finale for SWAT later on in May.
Matlock's finale is the first, airing in just a couple of weeks. Who will find out who Matty really is? After all, with a second season confirmed, that's the way this first season needs to end, right?
It’s not always easy to guess why CBS does what it does. Sometimes, we just have to run with the decisions to stay on top of our favorite crime dramas.
