We head back to a previous case on Chicago PD season 13 episode 10, and it’s time for Dante Torres’s faith to be tested even more. Can he finally get some answers that everyone deserves?
Chicago PD season 13 episode 9 delivered its most heartbreaking episode yet, a story that focused on Trudy Platt and brought up a very real issue in the world. While that is sure to still sit with us, the series is pushing forward with another character-driven story.
We’ll get more of Dante Torres, who is currently suffering a crisis of faith. While there’s not been much mentioned of him since returning from the winter break (in the show’s defense, it’s only been two episodes), there are the odd signs that he’s still struggling with his beliefs. Could that take a turn during the new episode?
Dante Torres continues to search for the real killer on Chicago PD season 13 episode 10
The episode puts the focus back on an earlier episode of the season. During Chicago PD season 13 episode 6, Torres was held hostage by a man named Odell Morgan. He had escaped from prison, and he wanted Torres to prove that he was innocent. Of course, plenty of inmates say they are innocent of murder, but in Morgan’s case, it was true.
However, Morgan died as a result of his injuries during the episode. Torres has taken the case on, turning to Morgan’s daughter to share that her father wasn’t the murderer everyone was led to believe. Torres is not about to give up on Morgan, but it’s going to lead to a tangled web of secrets that Intelligence will need to work through.

Imani has Torres’s back on Chicago PD
It looks like Imani will get more screentime during the episode, as well. She’s the one who will be by Torres’s side as he investigates, and that makes a lot of sense. Burgess just got a lot of time with Platt, and Torres hasn’t had a lot of time working with Atwater — although, I do think that’s a flaw in the writing.
Imani is new, and while her initial connection was with Voight, she has also formed one with Torres. She is also a believer of finding out the truth when it’s clear that what they’ve all been told is a lie. Just look at how much she pushed to keep Julie safe in the Bell case!
The question for the episode, though, is whether this will all help Torres and his crisis of faith. He needs a win, and getting to the bottom of the Morgan case could offer him that.
Chicago PD airs on Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC and streams the following day on Peacock.
